Dr. Julie Atkins Waites joined the Rosalind Franklin University Health System in 2010. Dr. Waites received her doctoral degree from the APA-accredited Clinical Psychology program at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. Dr. Waites completed an APA-accredited pre-doctoral internship at the Counseling and Student Development Center of Northern Illinois University and her post-doctoral fellowship with the Health and Psychological Services Center at William Rainy Harper College. Dr. Waites focused her training and past experience on working with a young adult population in various college and university settings.
 
Her current work at Rosalind Franklin University Health System includes administrative responsibility for clinical operations at the Student Counseling Service as well as the provision of individual psychological services and crisis intervention to students; outreach programming; and consultation services to the University community.

Additional information:  Nancy Slone Rivera has been a nurse for 30 years, with a specialization in wound care since 2001. She has experience in acute care, long-term care, home health care, outpatient care, and clinics for the medically underserved. She is available to evaluate and treat both chronic and acute wounds and ulcers of the lower extremity, including venous ulcers, traumatic wounds, non-healing surgical wounds and diabetic ulcers.
